History: Sylvando on the Dragon Quest Wiki
CRAU History: About two years ago, Sylvando was snatched through a magic mirror portal into a world powered by imagination that was gradually being consumed by a destructive Force known as the Corrosion. There he met Hades, Merlin, and Dreamfinder, and along with his fellowkidnapees recruits became a Sorcerer Apprentice to help the inhabitants of that world fight it off. He spent his time there not only practicing his Class's particular brand of magic, but helping to train new arrivals, busking to earn money, making friends, and going on missions to help free lands already consumed by the Corrosion. Eventually, not only did Sylvando become manager of the Main Street Opera House- restoring it to its former glory and adding his own flare for the fabulous as well- but they managed to free two of the kingdoms. It's from a little while after the reopening of the opera house that he'll be arriving in Diatu.
Personality:
Flamboyant: Sylvando is outgoing and flamboyant to the point of being silly at times, knows this, and chooses to be so. He is, if nothing else, extremely comfortable in his own skin and is confident to the point of sometimes coming off as condescending. But it's also obvious that he has a good heart, and is always willing to lend a hand to help those in need be it by fighting off a monster or just lifting someone's spirits.
Fun-loving: And fun making! His one true desire in life is to bring joy and laughter to as many people as possible, and this desire informs everything he does. In the intervening time between the game's first two acts, he gathered a crew of sweet, soft young men and took them under his wing as entertainers to help him in his mission to restore smiles to the world. He even rejoined the fight against the Lord of Shadows in part due to the fact that his efforts in making people's lives miserable made his vow to to bring joy and laughter impossible to fulfill.
Chivalrous: Despite having abandoned his career as a potential knight for the life of an entertainer, Sylvando still holds the values of the Knight's Pledge close to his heart. 'A knight's word is his bond, his kingdom his master. He serves the weak untiringly, challenges the strong unflinchingly, and never retreats in the face of adversity.' It's far more than just words to him, and he strives to uphold that pledge no matter where he is or what he's doing, often with his own special flair. One of the few things that can truly get the normally cheerful Sylvando angry is someone in a position of supposedly benevolent authority- like a knight- instead using that authority to deliberately harm, cheat, or exploit others.
Private: Though Sylvando excels at charm and wit, he seldom opens up about his past before taking to the stage, dancing around it with all the skill of a performer. This is in part because the air of mystery it creates around him is helpful to his career, but there are other, more personal reasons too. He wanted to shed the expectations that came along with being the son of the great Don Rodrigo and forge his own identity, and at his current canon point, he worries that his father is ashamed of him for choosing to abandon his knightly career in favor of the life of an entertainer. The thought of his father's disapproval is one of the few deep insecurities he has, and he keeps this close to his chest so it can't be used against him.
CRAU Personality:
New Friends: Sylvando's personality didn't outwardly change that much during his stay in the Magic Kingdoms, but he further solidified himself as a mentor figure, both in the training of new arrivals and in more casual ways. He became a stable adult figure in the lives of several teenagers- one of whom desperately needed it, though she'd never admit as much- and helped inspire a young man to pursue his dream of being a stand up comic. He also opened up a bit more than is usual for him to a few adults, including confessing to one that even he had almost given up hope after Yggdrasil fell.
New Skills: Apart from the magic he learned, Sylvando also gained knowledge about basic modern technology, such as CD players, microwaves, and electric lights. He also gained experience as a wedding planner- helping to put together the wedding of Aziraphale and Crowley- and building up and running a business- refurbishing and managing the opera house. He also gained a somehwat higher tolerance for random magical weirdness, which will likely serve him well in Diatu.
Always Keep In Mind: If you think you're playing Sylvando as too flamboyant? You're not. If anything you might not be making him flamboyant enough. Also, he'll call literally anyone things like 'darling', 'honey', or 'sweetie', even people he doesn't like.

Questions: Write an IC answer to the following questions:
What do you want to study at Diatu Magicademy?
Well I didn't actually plan on coming here to study anything, darling. But now that I am here, I quite like the look of 'Fantastics' . It seems like it could be such fun!
If you knew you could go back to the moment you left, would you leave immediately or continue your studies for a while?
I'd likely go back, either to the Magic Kingdoms or to my own world. In either place I have people waiting for me and quite a bit of smile-spreading still to do.
If your enemy was at Diatu Magicademy, how would you react?
However I felt was necessary. Though I suspect that if the Lord of Shadows were to turn up here, he would swiftly be deemed everyone's enemy, not just mine. He's that kind of fellow.
When is it acceptable to resolve a dispute by force?
When innocent people would be in danger if one didn't do such a thing. The Great Sylvando does prefer to win over his opponents with charm and fabulousness whenever possible, but there are times when one needs to pick up a sword and do what's right.
What should the supreme goal of any wizard be?
Such a silly question! Anyone who thinks that they know what the goal of every wizard should be likely shouldn't be a wizard themselves. As for little old me, I can't speak for anyone else, but my goal is the same as it ever was; to make the whole world smile!

Your Special Something: Item of Power
Rank Your House Choice: 1. Valhudor 2. Gekronus Maius 3. Ka
Items: The new sword he got in the Magic Kingdoms, his horse Margarita, his sailing ship the Salty Stallion (assuming something that big could even turn up), any or all of his in game outfits, and random 'The Great Sylvando' merch (yes, it's apparently a thing in canon), including things like rugs, silverware sets, and small paintings.
Anything Else: None that I can really think of? But just a note that Sylvando's flute will be coming with him, since he had it in hand when he was yoinked.
